Dr. Daphna Magda Kalir, PhD
Dr. Kalir is a certified gerontologist with a long experience in dealing with the psycho- bio-socio aspects of old age. She is currently studying psychotherapy at the Adler institute in Kfar-Sabba to further her abilities to help older adults to cope with the challenges of aging. She finished her doctoral studies in Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan Israel, in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies the Gender Program, under the supervision of Prof. Amit Shrira, and is currently doing her post-doctoral study under the supervision of Prof. Hod Orkivi and Dr. Shoshi Keisari in Health and Welfare Faculty – the Art Therapy School, at the Haifa University. Her PhD thesis topic is: A Gender-Based Perspective on the Relationship Between Subjective Age and Functional Independence Following Osteoporotic Fractures and Stroke. Her post-doctoral deals with implementational Research.
