Dr. Alexandra Danial-Saad, PhD
Dr. Alexandra Danial-Saad is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Haifa and the Academic Arab College for Education in Israel – Haifa. She earned her PhD on ‘A Knowledge-Based Methodology for Prescription of Assistive Technology to People with Disabilities. from the Department of Occupational Therapy, University of Haifa, Israel, under the supervision of Professor Prof. T. Weiss and Prof. T. Kuflik. She completed her post-doctoral work at the Personal Health Systems Lab – Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Information Engineering “Guglielmo Marconi”. Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna – Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Chiari.
Research Interests:
- Evaluation, adaptation and implementation of assistive technology in the health and education fields.
- Development of digital tools for evaluation of impairment.
- Professional development and effective mentoring models.
- Cultural aspects and awareness: Translation and cultural adaptation of therapy and education tools (programs and diagnostic tests) for the Arab population.
