Dr. Raphael Epple-Hattab, PhD

Raphael Eppler-Hattab (Ph.D.) is an organizational gerontologist and consultant, a researcher, and a veteran human rights activist in the gay community in Israel. He holds the positions of the CEO of the human resources consultancy firm Eppler Consulting, the chairman of the Israeli LGBT Golden Agers association and a partner at DNAge group, which guides organizations in the processes of adapting working life to longevity and constructing an age-friendly employment standard for employers. He is a member of the management committee of the LeverAge COST Action (CA22120): A European Network to Leverage the Multi-Age Workforce, and the leader of a working group on integration of age-diverse workers and knowledge transfer.

Dr. Eppler-Hattab holds a Ph.D. in gerontology from the University of Haifa, and a M.Sc. in behavioral and management sciences from the Technion. He completed his doctoral research in 2021 at the Department of Gerontology, Faculty of Social Welfare and Health Sciences, University of Haifa, under the joint supervision of Prof. Israel Doron and Prof. Ilan Meshoulam. His doctoral research has dealt with the conceptualization of workplace age-friendliness, the development of the Workplace Age-Friendliness Measure, and the examination of the role of organizational ageism, inter-age contact and organizational values in its formation. His research and expertise focus on LGBT aging, aging and work, organizational psychology and human resource management.
